Dr Tim Lu is a highly qualified rheumatologist and consultant physician based at the Northern Beaches Hospital. With extensive experience in the field, he has developed a specialty in treating rheumatic diseases, with a particular interest in inflammatory arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis. Dr Lu is also the lead clinician for the Osteoporosis Refracture Prevention service, where he oversees the care of patients with osteoporotic fractures and works to prevent future occurrences.
In addition to his role at the hospital, Dr Lu is a supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, where he provides advanced training in rheumatology to aspiring physicians. He is also a clinical senior lecturer at The University of Sydney, where he educates medical students on his area of expertise. Dr Lu is certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound imaging by the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine, which allows him to provide his patients with the most comprehensive care possible.
Whilst Dr Lu is dedicated to his work, he also finds time to enjoy an active lifestyle. In his free time, he is an avid swimmer and runner, which he believes keeps him energized and focused.
