Born and raised in Wollongong, Dr. Matthew Starr is a highly skilled Specialist Plastic Surgeon with a passion for Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery. He is the only Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who is currently exclusively located in the Illawarra and South Coast region. Dr. Starr's surgical training began in Sydney, following which he traveled to Europe to pursue his passion for Breast & Body Contouring Surgery, Reconstructive Microsurgery, and Paediatric Plastic Surgery. Dr. Starr worked in London where he completed postgraduate fellowships at renowned Great Ormond Street and the Royal Marsden Hospitals. During his stay, he was the Senior Plastic Surgery Microvascular Fellow at The Royal Marsden and a Consultant Paediatric Plastic Surgeon at Great Ormond Street hospitals. Currently, he offers Specialist Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery services in his hometown through both private and public systems.

Dr. Starr provides a range of surgical treatments at Wollongong Private Hospital, including Breast Surgery such as Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift, Breast Reduction, and Gynaecomastia Surgery.
