Dr. Spiro Raftopoulos is a highly qualified gastroenterologist based in Perth, Western Australia. With a keen commitment to comprehensive patient care, he specialises in interventional endoscopy, with a particular focus on endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) and minimally invasive endoscopic alternatives to surgery. Dr. Raftopoulos has a wealth of experience in general gastroenterology, therapeutic endoscopy, and providing high-quality colonoscopic services.
After completing his gastroenterology training in Perth, Dr. Raftopoulos pursued fellowships at the renowned St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Canada, where he gained invaluable expertise in interventional endoscopy. Additionally, he holds the position of Clinical Lecturer of Medicine at The University of Western Australia and has appointments at both Peel Health Campus in Mandurah and Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Actively participating in multicenter clinical trials, Dr. Raftopoulos also serves on several national advisory committees, including the Cancer Council of Australia and the Royal Australasian College of Pathologists.
