Dr Daniel Cheng

Dr Daniel Cheng is a highly skilled and dedicated gastroenterologist based in Nedlands, Western Australia. With a subspecialty focus in therapeutic endoscopy, pancreaticobiliary disease, and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Dr Cheng is committed to delivering holistic and patient-focused care in general gastroenterology.

Dr Cheng obtained his Bachelor of Medical Science (Honors) from the International Medical University in 2006, followed by his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Queensland in 2008. He achieved Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2017.

With extensive experience in managing complex gastroenterology patients, Dr Cheng has completed prestigious subspecialty fellowships both locally and internationally. He possesses advanced expertise in various endoscopic procedures, including ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography), EUS (endoscopic ultrasound), and the surveillance and management of Barrett's esophagus. His skills also encompass the endoscopic management of large polyps, dilation of benign esophageal strictures, and high-quality surveillance colonoscopy for the prevention of colorectal cancer.

In addition to his private practice, Dr Cheng holds public appointments at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital. He also serves as a clinical lecturer of medicine at the University of Western Australia.
