Dr Angel Li

Dr. Angel Li is a highly committed Gastroenterologist who is passionate about the promotion of gut health and providing comprehensive patient care. She specializes in general and luminal gastroenterology, with a focus on various conditions such as functional gastrointestinal disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, coeliac disease and nutrition. Dr. Li is known for providing exceptional gastroscopy and colonoscopy services, including expertise in dye-spray chromoendoscopy and bowel cancer screening. She is fluent in both English and Chinese Mandarin which allows her to connect with a broader range of patients.

Dr. Li is a private Gastroenterologist at Hollywood Private Hospital and a public Gastroenterologist at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, both based in Perth. She began her clinical career in Perth where she completed physician training. She has two clinical fellowships in Inflammatory Bowel Disease from Fiona Stanley Hospital and has completed her postgraduate GI training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Royal Perth Hospital. In addition, she gained further knowledge and skill in the field of gastroenterology in her fellowship at Fiona Stanley Hospital. During her fellowship, she focused on managing complex inflammatory bowel disease cases, caring for pregnant patients with inflammatory bowel disease, and supporting adolescent patients transitioning from pediatric care. Driven by her interest in the gut microbiota, Dr. Li has also engaged in research on faecal microbiota transplantation for the treatment of clostridium difficile colitis.
