Dr Siao Hoon

Dr Siao Hoon is a dedicated and experienced medical oncologist specialising in the field of oncology. Based in Midland, Perth, Western Australia, she is affiliated with the prestigious Icon Cancer Centre Midland.

Dr Hoon completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the renowned University of Western Australia. She began her medical career at Royal Perth Hospital, where she gained invaluable experience in various aspects of healthcare.

With a deep passion for oncology, Dr Hoon pursued advanced medical oncology training and clinical trials fellowship at Westmead and Blacktown Hospitals in Sydney. This extensive training provided her with a comprehensive understanding of managing a wide range of cancers.

As a medical oncology consultant at Geraldton Regional Hospital and St John of God Midland Hospital, Dr Hoon remains actively involved in research and clinical trials. She is particularly interested in studying malignant mesothelioma and is currently engaged in clinical research at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital as part of her WA Cancer and Palliative Care Network Cancer fellowship. Dr Hoon is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and a member of several prominent cancer trial groups in Australia and New Zealand.

Dr Hoon's expertise spans various solid tumor malignancies, with a special clinical interest in breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancer, lung cancer, and general oncology.
