Dr Sebastian Rodrigues

With over 22 years of experience in General, Breast, and Endocrine Surgery, Dr Sebastian Rodrigues is an Australian trained surgeon whose passion for his profession is reflected in his patient care and years of dedication. After completing his surgical training in Mumbai, India, Dr Rodrigues obtained his Masters in Surgery and Diplomate National Board (DNB) from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India, where he gained valuable experience in emergency and elective general surgery.

In 2005 he immigrated to Australia and underwent post graduate training with The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons through the Prince of Wales Hospital Network, Sydney, where he received broad general surgical and sub-speciality rotations in upper gastrointestinal, colorectal, breast, and endocrine surgery. After completing his training, Dr Rodrigues was awarded a FRACS in 2012 and underwent further post-fellowship training in breast and endocrine surgery at the Nepean Hospital, Penrith, and the Concord Repatriation Hospital, Sydney.

Dr Rodrigues is currently appointed at Bowral and District Hospital and Southern Highlands Private Hospital, where he offers both in-patient and day admissions, and endoscopy to his patients. He is actively involved in various medical associations, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, BreastsurgANZ, General Surgeons Australia, Australian Medical Association, GESA, and Association of Surgeons of India. His areas of expertise include breast, thyroid, hernia (groin, ventral, incisional), gall bladder, endoscopy/colonoscopy, and general surgery.
