Dr Ramesh Paramsothy

Dr Ramesh Paramsothy is a highly qualified Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist based in New South Wales, Australia. With a primary focus on Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), he has established himself as an expert in his field. Dr Paramsothy received his medical degree from the University of New South Wales, where he achieved the clinical prize for the highest final examination mark in Medicine in Sydney South West Clinical School.

Following his medical degree, Dr Paramsothy completed his internal medicine training at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. He then embarked on Gastroenterology & Hepatology training at three major tertiary referral institutions in Sydney. Alongside his training, Dr Paramsothy earned certification from the Australia Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) for gastroscopy and colonoscopy.

Driven by a commitment to excellence and furthering his knowledge, Dr Paramsothy pursued an Overseas Fellowship at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospital, London, renowned as one of the leading Gastroenterology Centres in the United Kingdom. His research has been presented at major national and international gastroenterology conferences and co-authored publications in esteemed medical and gastrointestinal journals including Lancet, Gastroenterology, Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and the Journal of Crohns & Colitis.
