Raj is an accomplished urological surgeon with an impressive background in medicine and surgery. After completing his education in Adelaide, Raj pursued postgraduate training in General and Urological surgery. He gained extensive experience in the management of adult urological conditions by spending a year at each of the major teaching hospitals in Adelaide.

Following his formal surgical training, Raj went on to complete a 12-month fellowship in Urological Oncology, where he gained expertise in the surgical and non-surgical management of prostate cancer and other urological malignancies. He gained knowledge about the latest techniques in prostatectomy, Low Dose Rate (LDR) and High Dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy, High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), and Cryotherapy. Raj also maintained strong academic links while in Sydney, serving as a Lecturer in Surgery at the University of New South Wales.

Currently, Raj is the surgical representative on the Prostate TAS working group at the Cancer Council of Tasmania. He is actively involved in raising awareness about men’s health issues. With his broad knowledge and substantial experience, Raj is considered an expert in his field and continues to serve the medical community by contributing his expertise to the growing body of knowledge within the field of urology.
