Dr Kirsten Connan

Dr Kirsten Connan is a highly skilled Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in Hobart, Tasmania. She has a special interest in normal and high-risk obstetrics, advanced laparoscopic surgery, management of pelvic pain, endometriosis, and ultrasound. After completing six years of specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology at The Royal Women's Hospital in Melbourne in 2010, Dr Connan further honed her expertise in normal and high-risk obstetrics as the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellow. She also expanded her knowledge of advanced laparoscopic surgical techniques during this time. In 2011, Dr Connan received an additional specialist qualification in ultrasound for obstetrics and gynaecology (DDU) after completing specialised training in endometriosis and laparoscopic hysterectomy surgery with the Royal Women's Hospital Endometriosis & Laparoscopic Unit. Dr Connan is the director and founder of Tasmanian Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialists (TasOGS.com). She is passionate about empowering women and improving their health outcomes by working together with them. In recognition of her business leadership, Dr Connan received the Telstra Tasmanian Business Women's Entrepreneur Award in 2016.
