Frank, a urologist, originally hails from West-Germany and graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Muenster in 2002 after which he completed his postgraduate training in urology at the Klinikum Dortmund, Germany in 2004. Alongside his wife Lynn, he moved to Tasmania in 2005 where they now reside with their four children. Frank was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2007 and has held appointments at Hobart Private Hospital, Calvary Hospital, and the Royal Hobart Hospital ever since. He is a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ), German Urological Society (DGU), and European Association of Urology (EAU) and has previously served as the Tasmanian Representative Director on the Board of Directors of USANZ from 2015-2018.
With extensive experience and expertise in the field of urology, Frank has contributed significantly to prostate cancer research at the University of Tasmania and introduced complete laparoscopic upper urinary tract operations and green-light laser prostatectomy at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He regularly acts as a proctor for the prostate Urolift procedure and has recently started offering advanced robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgery for various urological indications. Frank is committed to providing exceptional healthcare services and is highly regarded in the medical community for his outstanding work.
