Dr Nick Davies is a highly qualified and accomplished urologist based in Lenah Valley, Tasmania, Australia. With a strong presence in the healthcare community, Dr Davies serves patients at several hospitals including Hobart Private Hospital, Royal Hobart Hospital, and Calvary Lenah Valley Hospital. In 2017, he was the recipient of the Frank Gardiner Award for the highest mark on the Urology Surgical Sciences Examination for Australia and New Zealand. Dr Davies is a strong advocate for minimally invasive surgery, which is associated with faster recovery and less post-operative pain. He is proud to perform robotic-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomies for prostate cancer using the da Vinci surgical robot. This is the only surgical robotic platform of its kind in Tasmania and is located at Calvary Hospital - Lenah Valley. Dr Davies has published peer-reviewed articles and case reports in major urology journals. He also remains committed to medical education and regularly teaches medical students and junior doctors. Dr Davies is a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand. He operates privately at both the Hobart Private Hospital and Calvary Hospital – Lenah Valley.
