Dr Olivia Wong

Dr Wong holds several qualifications, including a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Melbourne in 2002 and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists from The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists in 2011. She is a highly experienced professional in the field of psychiatry.

Dr Wong has a special interest in the intersection of mental and physical health in gastroenterology, oncology, palliative care, and public health. She has worked in both public and private health sectors in Australia. She is also an Accredited Independent Medical Examiner in GEPIC (VIC, SA) and PIRS (TAS).

Her areas of expertise include anxiety disorders, cognitive behavioural therapy, depression, interpersonal therapy, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and supportive psychotherapy. She is adept at clinical medical education, health promotion, and quality improvement.

Dr Wong offers telehealth consultations and is available for weekly psychotherapy sessions. She provides services such as civil medicolegal assessments, insurance opinions/reports, shared care, and opinions and reports under MBS item 291.
