Mr. Matthew Evans is an Orthopaedic Surgeon, specializing in shoulder and knee surgeries. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Melbourne in 1992 and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery training in Victoria in 2002. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
Dr. Evans has undertaken subspecialty fellowship training in knee surgery in Boston, Massachusetts in 2003 and a shoulder-focused fellowship in London, England in 2004. He has also completed a course in advanced Ilizarov frame technique in Italy.
Dr. Evans is experienced in all aspects of shoulder and knee surgeries, with a special interest in shoulder instability syndromes and rotator cuff surgery. He provides expert care to his patients, focusing on their individual needs and ensuring the best possible outcomes.
Dr. Evans practices at Ramsay Surgical Centre Glenferrie and The Avenue Hospital in Hawthorn, Melbourne. He actively engages in orthopaedic research and has presented his work both nationally and internationally.
Outside of his work, Dr. Evans enjoys spending time with his wife Kate and their young son Nicholas, as well as their daughters Chloe and Clementine. They are a lively and fun-loving family, engaging in activities such as tennis, theatre, and modern art exhibitions.
