Mr Tim Schneider

Mr. Tim Schneider is an Australian orthopaedic surgeon specializing in foot and ankle surgery. He obtained his medical degree from Monash University in Melbourne and underwent training at the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre. He further pursued advanced orthopaedic training with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and the Australian Orthopaedic Association.

To enhance his expertise, Mr. Schneider completed a foreign fellowship in Foot and Ankle surgery and Ilizarov external fixation techniques in Texas, USA, and Italy. He served as the Foot and Ankle fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch, focusing on ankle arthroplasty, hindfoot reconstruction, diabetic foot disease, and forefoot disorders. He also gained experience as a visiting fellow at Ospdedale di Lecco, renowned for applying Ilizarov external fixation techniques.

Now based in Melbourne, Mr. Schneider serves as a visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon at Monash Medical Centre and Sandringham Hospital within the Bayside and Alfred Health networks. Since January 2011, he dedicates his practice exclusively to the Melbourne Orthopaedic Group, serving Windsor and Hawthorn.

Mr. Schneider has contributed to international literature with published articles and frequently presents at Foot and Ankle Society meetings. His primary interests lie in 1st MTP joint replacement, ankle arthroscopy, hindfoot reconstruction, forefoot reconstruction, and Ilizarov techniques.
