Dr Mark Tang is a highly qualified infectious disease physician with extensive experience in the field. He holds dual fellowship status with the Royal Australian College of Physicians in the disciplines of infectious diseases and general medicine / acute care. Dr Tang received his training in tertiary centers, including Austin Health, and is presently practicing at John Fawkner Private Hospital, where he specialises in infectious diseases, general medicine, and peri-operative care.
Dr Tang has a special interest in monitoring therapeutic antibiotic drug levels, and has been involved in statewide public health vaccination initiatives to improve health outcomes for the Victorian population. His clinical interests are broad, ranging from peri-operative infection prevention to managing post-operative infections in areas such as general surgery, orthopaedic surgery, and plastic and reconstructive surgery. He is also well-versed in core infectious diseases like HIV medicine, and is adept at managing emerging atypical infections in immunocompromised patients.
Dr Tang has a track record of providing excellent patient care and is well-respected for his clinical skills. He is dedicated to his practice and takes a holistic approach to treatment.
