Dr Daniel Stefanski

Dr Danielle Stefanski is a highly dedicated medical professional who has made significant contributions to the field of public health and tropical medicine. She completed her MBBS at Monash University in 1999, following which she pursued her passion for tropical medicine by obtaining a Diploma of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in 2007.

With a strong commitment to improving healthcare access for underserved communities, Danielle took on the role of Director of the Botswana-University of Pennsylvania Partnership clinical education outreach programme. During her tenure, she led a team of skilled medical practitioners to provide essential care to patients living with HIV/AIDS across multiple rural and remote hospitals. Under her leadership, the programme grew significantly, expanding from 4 to 13 hospitals in just 18 months.

Upon returning to Australia in 2009, Danielle continued her infectious diseases training at Monash Health and achieved a fellowship of the RACP in 2012. She has since held a continuing appointment at Monash Health in Melbourne, while also accepting concurrent appointments in regional Victoria and Queensland over the past decade. In these roles, she served as a general medicine and infectious diseases physician in clinical and leadership positions, including Clinical Lead in Medicine and Director of Clinical Training.

Apart from her impressive medical accomplishments, Danielle is also fluent in Polish. Her dedication and exceptional skills have made her an invaluable asset to the medical community in Australia and beyond.
