Mark is a dedicated researcher and oncologist who is passionate about delivering personalised care to cancer patients. He currently holds a PhD from the University of Queensland, where he evaluated the outcomes of immunotherapy treatment in cancer patients in Queensland. He is also leading an innovative genomics trial, aimed at reducing toxicity associated with chemotherapy. Mark has extensive experience managing solid organ cancers and remains up to date with recent breakthrough treatments for his patients. Mark has contributed to a number of clinical trials as a co-investigator, and has presented his research at various national and international oncology conferences. He is part of several collaborative research groups, including the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), Australasian Gastrointestinal Trials Group (AGITG), Thoracic Oncology Society of Australia (TOGA), Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate Trials Group (ANZUP), and Cooperative Trials Group for Neuro-Oncology (COGNO). Apart from his research interests, Mark is an excellent communicator who is deeply committed to his patients' care and well-being. He keeps his patients and their families informed, involved and supported throughout their treatment plans. Mark is also enthusiastic about teaching and is involved in the education of medical students, registrars and oncology trainees across Queensland.
