Dr Sam Kashkavij

Dr. Sam Kashkavij is a highly qualified physician, with an extensive background in cardiology. He has a particular interest in various aspects of cardiovascular imaging. These include non-invasive cardiac testing for ischemic heart disease, managing heart failure, valvular heart disease, and hypertension, amongst others.

Dr. Kashkavij completed his basic physician training at The Canberra Hospital. Later, he underwent two years of advanced training in acute general medicine and geriatric medicine at the same institution. Subsequently, he completed specialty training in cardiology at Northern Adelaide Local Health Network, Lyell McEwin Hospital. Here, he was admitted as a Fellow of the Australasian college of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. He further honed his skills by undertaking a subspecialty clinical fellowship in echocardiography at Flinders Medical Centre in 2020.

Dr. Kashkavij also has a special interest in CT coronary angiography. To support his expertise, he possesses a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), Certificate 3 (advanced) training in TTE, TOE, STE and stress echocardiogram, as well as being a Fellow of Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (FSCCT), and member of CSANZ, ESC, and ASE.
