Dr Malvika Gupta

Dr. Malvika Gupta's primary areas of expertise include complicated cataract and pterygium surgery, retinal diseases, glaucoma, and eyelid disorders. With over 10 years of experience in comprehensive ophthalmology, she has successfully performed more than 5000 eye surgeries.

Dr. Gupta obtained her medical degree from Delhi University, India, where she received a gold medal for her exceptional performance in Ophthalmology. Subsequently, she pursued a fellowship in Vitreo-retinal surgery and medical retinal disorders at Westmead Hospital, Sydney, NSW in 2014-2015.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Gupta is actively involved in research and academic pursuits. She has authored over 30 publications in reputable ophthalmology journals and books. As a member of the RANZCO Human Research Ethics Committee, she contributes to promoting ethical research by Ophthalmologists across Australia. Dr. Gupta's dedication and contributions to the field have been recognized through various grants, allowing her to participate in Retinal Disease Summits and conferences in Asia and Europe.

Dr. Gupta holds public appointments at Broadmeadows Public Hospital and Yarra Ranges Health Services (Lilydale). In these roles, she also contributes to the training of current registrars in carrying out cataract and eyelid surgeries.

For private consultations, Dr. Malvika Gupta is available at her rooms in Sunbury (Thursdays), St Albans (Mondays), and Jacana (Wednesdays). She also provides emergency consultations when required.
