Dr Luke Galligan

Dr. Luke Galligan is an esteemed cardiologist with over three decades of experience in Hobart, Tasmania. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Tasmania's medical school and began his medical career at the Royal Hobart Hospital. After completing his basic physician training, Dr. Galligan pursued specialised training in cardiology. Seeking further expertise, Dr. Galligan relocated to Sydney, where he continued his cardiology training at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Children's Hospital. During this time, he developed a particular interest in pediatric cardiology. To enhance his skills, he completed an interventional cardiology fellowship in Canada. In 1990, Dr. Galligan returned to Hobart, where he currently splits his time between private practice and serving as a Visiting Medical Officer in cardiology at the Royal Hobart Hospital. He remains passionately involved with the medical school, reflecting his commitment to both his patients and the medical community. Dr. Galligan specialises in interventional and pediatric cardiology, but his practice encompasses all aspects of general cardiology. With his extensive expertise and years of experience, he remains dedicated to delivering the highest quality care to his patients.
