Dr Lionel Lim

Dr Lionel Lim is a highly skilled and experienced medical oncologist, specialising in the treatment of various types of cancers. Based in Ringwood East, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, Dr Lim has been practicing medicine for over two decades, with a primary focus on oncology.

Dr Lim obtained his medical degree, MBBS, from Monash University in 1996. Following his graduation, he completed his Physician training in 2002. He then pursued advanced medical oncology training at the renowned Royal Melbourne and St Vincent’s Hospitals, further enhancing his expertise and knowledge in the field.

Dr Lim has since established a successful private practice at Ringwood Private Hospital, where he specialises in treating patients with various types of tumours, primarily focusing on cancers of the gastrointestinal tract such as the colon, rectum, pancreas, gastric, and oesophagus. He also has expertise in managing lung and prostate cancers. In addition to his private practice, Dr Lim is a key member of the oncology unit at Eastern Health's Maroondah Hospital, contributing to the multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment.

Furthermore, Dr Lim actively participates in cancer multidisciplinary meetings held at Knox and Ringwood Private Hospitals, where he collaborates with other healthcare professionals in the development of comprehensive treatment plans, particularly in the areas of gastrointestinal and breast cancers.
