Laura Ahmad

Dr Ahmad is a highly accomplished medical practitioner who obtained her degree in Medicine from the prestigious University of California, San Francisco. Later on, she completed both basic and advanced training in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Colorado, where she honed her skills in this area of expertise. She followed this up with completing FRACP (Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians) requirements, and then earned herself a PhD focused on predictors of rehabilitation outcomes in older patients through the University of Sydney.

Dr Ahmad has contributed extensively to medical education, having been involved in medical school curriculum development and teaching, as well as representing NSW for Geriatric Medicine advanced training at the RACP. Her work experience spans across several major institutions, such as Concord Repatriation General Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, and North Shore Private Hospital, where she has worked in acute and orthogeriatric geriatric medicine. Currently, she provides outstanding patient care to inpatients and outpatients in the Consulting Suite at Lady Davidson Private Hospital.

In recognition of her achievements in the medical field, Dr Ahmad was appointed as a member of the Medical Council of NSW, signifying the trust and confidence the medical community has in her skills and abilities. With her background and wide experience, she personally embodies the professional excellence that is of the highest order.
