Dr Kirstin Miteff

Meet Dr. Kirstin Miteff, a dynamic and experienced Cosmetic and Reconstructive Plastic Surgeon originally from Sydney, Australia. She recently relocated to Newcastle in 2017 with her family after successfully completing advanced sub-specialty Fellowship training in Craniomaxillofacial surgery, following her Plastic surgery training. Dr. Miteff's educational background is extensive, starting with an initial Physiotherapy degree followed by Medical School at the University of Sydney in 2003. With her broad medical knowledge, she has gained experience in various regions across Australia, including Perth, WA, and the United Kingdom.

Dr. Miteff's extensive experience includes General Plastic Surgery, Breast Reconstruction, Hand Surgery, and Breast/Body/Facial Plastic Surgery. She has received numerous awards, including the Allergan Best Reconstructive Award in 2014 for her Scarless Latissimus Dorsi Flap work during Breast reconstruction surgery. In 2016, she was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery. Dr. Miteff’s additional expertise includes Craniofacial reconstruction, Head and Neck Cancer surgery, Orthognathic surgery, Paediatric Plastic Surgery, Cleft Lip and Palate surgery, and Congenital Craniofacial abnormalities.

She has recently opened private rooms at Glebe Road in The Junction, where she is dedicated to providing informed surgical care to patients throughout Newcastle and the Greater Hunter region. Dr. Miteff has been appointed to John Hunter Hospital as part of the Plastic and Reconstructive Service for Hunter New England Health, where she attends various multidisciplinary teams, such as the Head and Neck, Melanoma, and Breast teams. She believes in providing compassionate, patient-centred care and is passionate about helping individuals to achieve their desired results while prioritising their safety.
