Dr John Newton

Dr. John Newton is a renowned Cosmetic and Plastic Surgeon, who has been offering his exceptional services to the people of Newcastle for over 28 years. After obtaining his medical degree from Sydney University, he began his Junior Medical and Advanced Surgery training at various esteemed hospitals in Newcastle including Royal Newcastle Hospital, Calvary Mater Newcastle Hospital, Wallsend Hospital, and Maitland Hospital. Later, he pursued his Plastic Surgery training from Melbourne, at hospitals like St. Vincent’s Hospital, Preston and Northcote Community Hospital, The Alfred Hospital, and the Queen Victoria Hospital. He further honed his skills by completing his training in London, England, at Mount Vernon Hospital.

With his extensive experience and skillset, Dr. Newton has successfully performed over 100,000 surgical procedures. His areas of expertise include Breast Surgery, Ear Reductions, Abdominoplasties, Rhinoplasties, Facial Procedures (both cosmetic and reconstructive), and various procedures for Skin Cancer, Congenital Deformities, and Scars.

Dr. Newton has a giving heart and has volunteered his time and services with Interplast, a non-profit organisation that offers reconstructive plastic surgery procedures to underprivileged regions in the Pacific. Through his service on nine Interplast trips, Dr. Newton has helped 23 children with cleft lip repairs.
