Prof. Andrew Boyle is a renowned interventional cardiologist and Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Newcastle, Australia. With an MBBS from Monash University and a PhD from the University of Melbourne, he has received advanced training from Johns Hopkins University and held a distinguished faculty position at the University of California, San Francisco for 7 years.
Prof. Boyle specialises in general and interventional cardiology, performing coronary angiography and stenting, valvuloplasty, and structural heart interventions. He is also at the helm of a research laboratory at Hunter Medical Research Institute (HMRI), dedicated to studying the mechanism of heart failure after a heart attack and exploring novel approaches to regenerate damaged heart muscle.
The Professor's clinical research focuses on testing new technologies in the cardiac catheterisation lab.
