Dr Khairul Mohamed-Noor is a well-respected gynaecologist with over three decades of experience in the field. She is a founding member of Women's Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialists (WOGS) and has dedicated her career to providing exceptional care to women in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
After obtaining her medical degree at Monash University, Dr Khairul pursued her passion at the Royal Women's Hospital, where she developed her expertise in obstetrics and gynaecology. Her private consulting suite is now located on the second floor of the Royal Women's Hospital, and she exclusively delivers babies at Frances Perry House.
Dr Khairul's special interests lie in obstetrics, gynaecology, colposcopy, laparoscopy, and prolapse surgery. She is well-versed in all aspects of obstetrics, from pre-pregnancy counselling to postpartum care. Her dedication to her patients extends beyond the delivery room, as she is skilled in laparoscopic procedures, endometrial ablations, fibroid management, and vaginal procedures. Dr Khairul is also a consultant gynaecologist at the Pelvic Floor Unit of The Women's.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr Khairul is the Medical Team Leader at the African Women's Clinic, where she provides support to women affected by female genital mutilation and cutting. Her commitment to empowering and caring for women is evident in her involvement with this clinic.
Dr Khairul is known for her commitment to education and mentorship. She actively mentors students and general practitioners pursuing obstetric training and serves as an examiner of medical students. Furthermore, she is part of medical teams that visit Mongolia to share expertise in laparoscopic surgical techniques in gynaecology.
Balancing work and personal life is important to Dr Khairul. In her leisure time, she enjoys following St Kilda football club, playing golf, travelling, and spending quality time with her son, including building Lego sets together. Above all, she finds great joy in witnessing the profound moments when parents meet their newborn babies.
