Dr Ken Roper

Ken is a respected Obstetrician and Gynaecologist known for his commitment to his patients and his profession. Born and raised in Caringbah, Ken attended local schools before graduating from the University of Sydney in 1984 with a BSc(Med) and MBBS. Initially pursuing a career as a rural General Practitioner, a transformative experience during a Diploma of Obstetrics program in the UK changed his career trajectory. He decided to specialize in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and underwent extensive training at prestigious healthcare institutions in Australia and the UK. During his training, he gained valuable clinical obstetric skills that he continues to apply in his work today.

In 1994, Ken established his practice in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Miranda and has since become a trusted and well-respected practitioner in the field. With over 30 years of experience, Ken expertly addresses a wide range of gynaecological conditions, including menstrual disorders, infertility workup, abnormal pap smears, pelvic floor problems, and contraception. However, it is perhaps his work in delivering many thousands of Shire babies that he is best known for. Moreover, he has trained and mentored junior medical staff, medical students, and midwives for over 20 years, cementing his reputation as a knowledgeable and caring leader in his field.
