Dr. Moneghetti's areas of expertise include exercise testing, preventative cardiology, cardiac imaging, and investigating breathlessness and exercise intolerance. He has a particular focus on integrating exercise testing into diagnostic pathways and conducting translational studies to identify biomarkers that can differentiate individuals at a higher risk of cardiovascular events.

In addition to his clinical and research work, Dr. Moneghetti has made notable contributions to medical literature. Notable publications include a study on the cardiovascular effects of asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic SARS-CoV-2 infection in NCAA Division I collegiate student-athletes, as well as research exploring the molecular choreography of acute exercise. His work has been published in prestigious journals such as Cell, European Heart Journal, International Journal of Cardiology, and Current Opinion in Cardiology.
