Dr Julian Ip

Dr Julian Ip is a skilled surgeon, specialising in colorectal and general surgery. He places a strong emphasis on surgical procedures of the small and large bowel, rectum, and anus. Additionally, he is well-versed in other general surgical specialties, including gallstones and hernias, as well as acute surgical emergencies and trauma. Dr Ip holds full gastroscopy and colonoscopy accreditations.

Dr Ip received his education in medical science and medicine from the esteemed University of Sydney, followed by specialist general surgery training at the renowned Royal North Shore Hospital. He then obtained Fellowship in General Surgery with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS). He went on to pursue advanced post-Fellowship training with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ), receiving further education and training for two years at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney and Fiona Stanley Hospital in Perth.

Dr Ip's interest in advanced surgical techniques, such as laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, has led to a focus on treating conditions related to the small and large intestine, such as colorectal cancer, polyps, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis), and diverticular disease. He also possesses expertise in managing conditions of the rectum and anus, including anal fissure and fistula, haemorrhoids, constipation and diarrhoea, and prolapse.
