Dr Rebecca Seton

Dr. Seton is a highly accomplished and experienced colorectal surgeon who has completed various specialised training programs in Australia and the United Kingdom. After receiving her medical degree from the University of New South Wales, Dr. Seton underwent her surgical training in the Northern Sydney Network and pursued post-fellowship colorectal training at Royal North Shore Hospital. She also underwent extensive colorectal training in the UK, including the Colchester Laparoscopic Fellowship, which enabled her to become an expert in laparoscopic surgery for both benign and malignant conditions.

Dr. Seton further honed her skills in surgical and multidisciplinary management of complex coloproctology, among others, during her tenure at the prestigious St Mark’s Hospital in London. There she worked with the United Kingdom’s largest specialist biofeedback team and Sir Alan Parks Physiology Unit, which provided her with an opportunity to develop expertise in complex inflammatory bowel disease surgery, intestinal polyposis, abdominal wall reconstruction, advanced proctology, and pelvic floor pathology.

Dr. Seton’s extensive training and clinical experiences have made her an expert in colorectal surgery, whose practice is characterised by a patient-centred approach. She provides her patients with individualised care that meets their specific needs.
