Dr Jobe Shatrov

Dr. Shatrov is a highly accomplished and acclaimed orthopaedic knee surgeon, recognized for his expertise in research, innovation, and teaching. He graduated as Dux at University of Notre Dame, Australia and completed his orthopaedic surgery training in February 2019. He has received prestigious fellowships in robotic knee surgery at the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in France, and the Centre Orthopedic SANTY where he treated professional footballers from across Europe, and at the Fortius Clinic in London, where he managed sports injuries for premier league football players and international-level sports players.

Dr. Shatrov is a prolific researcher and has published widely in the field of orthopaedic knee surgery, receiving numerous domestic and international awards for his work. He won best presentation at the European Federation of National Associations of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EFORT) conference in Lisbon in 2022. He is a sought-after speaker and a dedicated teacher, who currently lectures medical students, master's students, and orthopaedic trainees from different universities.

Dr. Shatrov holds an appointment at Hornsby Hospital and North Shore Private Hospital where he provides elective and urgent assessments for patients. His practice encompasses the surgical and non-surgical treatment of knee injuries and disorders, with a particular interest in computer-assisted and robotic knee replacement surgery, sports injuries, and ligament reconstruction. He is also leading a recently established multidisciplinary clinic in St. Leonards focusing on nonsurgical management of knee injuries. Dr. Shatrov is pursuing a PhD at the University of Sydney where he is focusing on the patellofemoral joint in total knee arthroplasty.
