Dr John Stevens

Dr Stevens has a special interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and is well-versed in treating a wide range of mental health conditions. His expertise includes ADHD, anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, cognitive behavioural therapy, conversion disorder, depression, eating disorders, family therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and supportive psychotherapy.

With a Certificate of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and FRACP (Paediatrics) qualifications, Dr Stevens has a solid foundation in addressing mental health concerns across various age groups. His experience spans from helping mothers and babies, children and teenagers aged 1-17, to adults aged 18-60.

Dr Stevens offers a range of services to his patients, including opinion and report (MBS item 291) as well as weekly psychotherapy sessions. He is also well-equipped to provide consultations and support for doctors, psychiatrists, medical students, and individuals with diverse backgrounds and needs. This includes expertise in working with gender diverse individuals, the LGBTQ+ community, and those with intellectual or physical disabilities.

Dr Stevens is a dedicated and compassionate psychiatrist who is committed to providing high-quality care to his patients. While he is currently not taking new referrals, his telehealth services allow for convenient and accessible consultations.
