Dr Igor Policinski is an orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder surgery. He is a valued member of the Healthscope team and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his field. Dr Policinski completed his Australian Orthopaedic Training and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2014. He then went on to pursue further advanced training in microsurgery and shoulder surgery.
During his training, Dr Policinski spent two years in the United States and Europe, refining his skills. He completed the prestigious Fellowship of Christine M. Kleinert Institute for Hand and Microsurgery in the US, as well as a Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at the Tampa Institute of Orthopaedics. In Europe, he further honed his skills in shoulder surgery at the Institut Universitaire Locomoteur et du Sport in Nice, France.
Dr Policinski is originally from Canberra and completed his secondary education there. He obtained his medical degree from Poland and has always maintained strong ties with the Canberra community. Dr Policinski is highly respected by his colleagues for his exceptional surgical skills and is admired by his patients for his positive attitude and compassionate approach to care. He is fluent in English and Polish, allowing him to effectively communicate with a diverse range of patients.
