Mr Hairul Ahmad

Mr. Hairul Ahmad is an experienced General Surgeon specialising in Colonoscopy, Endoscopy, and Upper GI Surgery (Abdominal). He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Monash University in Melbourne in 1986. Following his primary medical degree, Mr. Ahmad completed a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College for Emergency Medicine in 1999 and a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2005.

With over 20 years of experience in the field, Mr. Ahmad has developed a wide range of skills and expertise in complex hernia repair, endoscopy, and colonoscopy. He is well-versed in the latest minimal invasive surgical techniques, including E-TAP (Extended Totally Extraperitoneal Hernia Repair), laparoscopic (keyhole) surgery, and EPSiT (Endoscopic Pilonidal Sinus Treatment). Mr. Ahmad has a particular interest in treating all types of hernias, including inguinal, femoral, ventral, and abdominal wall hernias, as well as gallbladder disease and general surgical conditions.

Mr. Ahmad's commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in his field is evident through his continuous professional development activities and participation in international surgical conferences and workshops. In 2019, he attended a course on Extended Totally Extraperitoneal Hernia Repair in Melbourne, and in 2018, he took part in a Complex Abdominal Wall Reconstruction/Surgery program in Madrid, Spain. Additionally, Mr. Ahmad completed a comprehensive training program on Complex Hernia Surgery at the North Carolina Hernia Center in the United States in 2017.
