Dr Eoin O'Dwyer

Dr Eoin O'Dwyer is a highly accomplished Cardiologist based in Frenchs Forest, Sydney, Australia. With a dedication to medicine, he has built an impressive medical profile through his extensive education and training.

Dr O'Dwyer obtained his undergraduate education at University College Cork, Ireland, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry and an MSc in Analytical Chemistry, both with first-class honors. He then pursued his medical training at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, graduating with an MB, BCh, BAO with first-class honors. In addition to his medical degree, he holds Licentiates from the Royal College of Physicians.

In 2012, Dr O'Dwyer relocated to Sydney and joined St. Vincent’s Hospital to begin his Physician Training. Over the course of six years, he underwent advanced training in Cardiology, establishing himself as an expert in the field. Currently, he serves as the Clinical Director of Adult Medicine and works as a Cardiologist at Northern Beaches Hospital.

Dr O'Dwyer's interests within medicine extend to various areas. He has conducted extensive research on the impact of HIV medicine on cardiovascular health, which he has presented at international conferences. He also has a particular interest in inflammatory arthropathies, early atherosclerotic disease, and the effects of anabolic steroids on the heart and sports medicine. He is currently engaged in further research in these areas.

Throughout his career, Dr O'Dwyer has been recognized for his contributions to medicine. He has received research fellowships at prestigious institutions such as St. Vincent’s Hospital and the Royal Prince Alfred Sydney.
