Dr Ata Rehman

Dr. Rehman is a seasoned internal medicine specialist with extensive experience in cardiovascular health. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of the Punjab in Pakistan in 1992. After moving to the United Kingdom to complete his internship, he relocated to Australia, where he obtained his AMC Certificate in 2009 and completed his fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP), Adult Medicine Division, in 2015. Continuing his commitment to advanced medical education, Dr. Rehman achieved a Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in Cardiology in 2022 and became a certified member of the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) in the same year. In June 2023, he further expanded his expertise by becoming a member of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), specializing in echocardiography. With over seven years of experience in internal medicine and preventative cardiovascular health in Wollongong and Shellharbour, Dr. Rehman has developed a deep passion for cardiovascular care. He is particularly interested in the management of heart failure, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, cardiomyopathies, and chronic complex patients. Additionally, he is highly skilled in peri-operative medicine and the management of venous thromboembolism, including deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, with a focus on post-operative transesophageal echocardiography (TOE). Dr. Rehman provides comprehensive and holistic care, ensuring his patients receive the highest quality outcomes.
