Dr Tejas Deshmukh

Dr Tejas Deshmukh is a highly skilled and dedicated cardiologist based in Wetherill Park, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. With a primary focus on general adult cardiology, Dr Deshmukh has a special interest in interventional cardiology.

Dr Deshmukh acquired his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Western Sydney in 2011. Following this, he completed his internship, residency, physician training, and cardiology advanced training at Westmead Hospital. In recognition of his expertise, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2019. Dr Deshmukh also holds a Master's degree in Clinical Trials Research (MClinTr) from the University of Sydney, which he achieved in 2014.

Dr Deshmukh's comprehensive practice covers all aspects of adult cardiology, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, cardiovascular imaging, and preventive cardiology. Currently, he is working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in cardiac regeneration under the esteemed supervision of A/Prof James Chong at the Westmead Institute for Medical Research. Dr Deshmukh's outstanding research contributions have been recognized through the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Postgraduate Scholarship and the National Heart Foundation (NHF) Health Professionals Scholarship, which further enhances his medical expertise. Additionally, he serves as a Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sydney, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation of medical professionals.
