Dr Arthur Clements

Dr Arthur Clements, a renowned oncologist, specialises in the treatment of melanoma, gastrointestinal, and lung malignancies. With a BSc (Med) MBBS degree from the University of New South Wales, Dr Clements obtained his FRACP Specialist Fellowship after completing postgraduate training at esteemed hospitals including Westmead, Nepean, and Blacktown.

Throughout his career, Dr Clements has made significant contributions to medical research. In 2011, he was appointed as a senior lecturer in medical oncology at the University of Sydney. He served as a medical oncologist at Westmead and Nepean Hospitals, concurrently working as the Research Group Leader at the Westmead Institute for Cancer Research. Here, he successfully coordinated and organized multiple Phase I to III trials for targeted therapies, such as BRAF and MEK inhibitors, as well as newer immunotherapy drugs like Ipilimumab and anti-PD-1 antibodies. Dr Clements has also mentored medical students, physician trainees, and medical oncology clinical trial fellows.

Since 2011, Dr Clements has been a Visiting Medical Oncologist at the Norwest Private Hospital, where he focuses on general oncology. He played a pivotal role in establishing and overseeing clinical trials at the hospital. Recognized for his extensive experience and remarkable achievements, Dr Clements is highly regarded within the medical community as a respected and valued member. In addition to English, he is fluent in Malay.
