Dr Arifa Khan

Dr Arifa Khan is a highly skilled and experienced gynaecologist based in Bella Vista, Sydney, Australia. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery from Karachi University in Pakistan in 1989. Dr Khan began her medical career at Westmead Public Hospital in Sydney, where she completed her internship and residency.

After gaining valuable experience as a family physician in Sydney's Northern Suburbs, Dr Khan decided to pursue her passion for women's health and shared care for pregnant mothers. She embarked on further training through the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG), ultimately obtaining her fellowship in 2005.

Dr Khan's commitment to continuous learning and professional development led her to receive a prestigious travelling scholarship in 2003. This opportunity allowed her to train in minimally invasive surgery techniques at renowned centres in France and Italy. She also spent a year in the United Kingdom, further enhancing her skills and knowledge in the field of gynaecology. During this time, she presented her research at international conferences, including The International Society for Gynaecologic Endoscopy conference.

With nearly 15 years of experience in women's healthcare and fertility management, Dr Khan opened her private practice to provide personalised and compassionate care to women of all ages and needs. She takes great pride and satisfaction in offering continuity of care throughout the entire journey, from fertility management advice to assistance with conception and delivery. Many of her patients are pleased to know that they can rely on her expertise and support from start to finish.

In addition to her private practice, Dr Khan has consult rooms at Sydney Adventist practices and Norwest Private Hospital, where she holds "Visiting Medical Officer" rights. This allows her to provide comprehensive pregnancy care and attend to patients she has assisted in conceiving through IVF and other Assisted Reproductive Technology treatments during childbirth.

Outside of her professional life, Dr Arifa Khan is a dedicated wife and loving mother of two boys. This firsthand experience of motherhood, combined with her extensive expertise and qualifications, enable her to offer exceptional care and support to her patients. Dr Khan's main goal is to deliver personalized care of the highest standard to women, addressing their unique needs and concerns with empathy and understanding.
