Dr Anthony Samson

Dr. Anthony Samson is an Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgeries related to the hip, knee, trauma, and fractures. He is based in Bedford Park, Adelaide. Dr. Samson holds the qualifications of FRACS Orthopaedics Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (BMBS), and a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honors.

One of his notable achievements is his research on optimizing posterior condylar offset and joint line restoration in revision total knee arthroplasty. This work was published in Techniques in Orthopaedics in 2018. Dr. Samson has also contributed to the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery with a literature review on total knee replacement in the morbidly obese.

In addition, Dr. Samson's research on various surgical techniques has been published in Techniques in Hand Up Extremity Surgery and Techniques in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery. He has also conducted research on the effects of somatostatin on electrogenic ion transport in the duodenum and colon of mice.

Dr. Samson was recognized for his academic excellence during his undergraduate studies and received the Edson prize in Biochemistry as the top undergraduate student. He has also been awarded a post-graduate PhD scholarship to further his contributions to the field of medicine.
