Dr Yik Lim is an accomplished obstetrician and gynecologist with expertise in urogynaecology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Melbourne and completed specialist training at the Royal Women’s Hospital in Victoria. Dr Lim then pursued four years of subspecialty training in urogynaecology in Queensland and Victoria, working under the guidance of leading urogynaecologists in Australia. During this time, he received various awards and scholarships, including the Brown Craig Travelling Scholarship and the Christopher Kohlenberg medal for best research presentations. Dr Lim obtained his fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (FRANZCOG) in 2004 and his subspecialty Certificate in Urogynaecology (CU) in 2007. Currently, he serves as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Urogynaecology at Mercy Hospital for Women. Additionally, Dr Lim is the Oceania Representative of the International Advisory Board of the International Urogynecologic Association (IUGA) and an Examiner in the Urogynaecology Subspecialty of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG). Dr Lim is actively involved in several professional organizations, including the Urogynaecological Society of Australasia (UGSA) and the Continence Foundation of Australia (CFA). He has published over 20 manuscripts in national and international journals and regularly facilitates surgical, anatomical, and hands-on workshops in urogynaecology. Dr Lim's dedication to advancing the field of urogynaecology is apparent through his achievements and contributions to medical education and research. He continues to be a valuable asset to the medical community and strives to provide high-quality care for his patients.
