Esperance, an Australian town in the Goldfields-Esperance area of the state of Western Australia, lies about 720 km from Perth, the state capital, towards its east-southeast direction. The area falls within the jurisdiction of the Shire of Esperance LGA and is situated on the Southern Ocean coastline.

At the June 2018 Population Estimates, the total urban population of Esperance was 12,145. The major industries of the town include agriculture, tourism, and fishing.
