Dr Sonia Yuen

Dr Sonia Ahn Yuen is a highly educated ophthalmologist whose academic background is as impressive as her professional achievements. She earned her medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine in 1998, after graduating from Cornell University with an undergraduate degree and completing her PhD from the University of California, San Diego. Dr Ahn pursued her specialty training in Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, which she completed in 2002. Subsequently, she specialised in Oculoplastics (Eyelid, Lacrimal, and Orbital Disease) at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital between 2002-2004, and then completed a Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship at the Royal Children's Hospital in Brisbane from 2006-2007.

Dr Ahn is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists, and she is a Board Certified ophthalmologist in the United States with the American Board of Ophthalmology. As a Visiting Consultant at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital as well as at the Queensland Children's Hospital, Dr Ahn is widely recognized for her work and expertise in Ophthalmology. Her dedication to the field and vast experience in numerous sub-specialties within Ophthalmology is a testament to the depth and breadth of her medical knowledge, and her professional accomplishments are well-deserved and celebrated among her colleagues and patients alike.
