Dr Simon Pridgeon is a highly skilled urologist with extensive experience in treating a variety of urological conditions. After completing his medical training at the University of Edinburgh, he earned his PhD in Molecular Cancer Pharmacology from Newcastle University. Dr Pridgeon specialises in laparoscopic kidney surgery, which he acquired during a Fellowship program in Australia. Currently practicing at Cairns Hospital, Far North Queensland, Dr Pridgeon partners with Northern Urology specialists Dr Garrath Evans, Dr Stefan Antoniou, and Dr Philip Smith to provide comprehensive care and treatment for patients seeking urological care.
Dr Pridgeon is committed to providing high-quality care to his patients, with his primary interest being the identification and treatment of kidney cancer, which is a virulent disease that can quickly spread if left untreated. He is well-versed in all aspects of urological care, including treatment and aftercare of patients with conditions affecting urinary organs, prostate, and male reproductive organs.
