Dr Sally Byrne is a highly trained psychiatrist with expertise in mood and anxiety disorders, as well as eating disorders. She obtained her medical qualifications from the esteemed University of New South Wales and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. Dr Byrne has an extensive background in the public hospital sector, having served as a Staff Specialist in Child Adolescent Psychiatry at the Children's Hospital at Westmead for numerous years.

During her tenure, Dr Byrne was an integral member of the hospital's consultation liaison service, managing both inpatients and outpatients with eating disorders.
