Dr Rishi Narasimhan

Dr Rishi Narasimhan is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee surgeries. He is associated with Newcastle Private Hospital, Hunter Valley Private Hospital, Lake Macquarie Private Hospital, and Warners Bay Private Hospital. In addition to English, he is fluent in Hindi.

With over a decade of experience, Dr Narasimhan completed his Orthopaedic surgical training through the Newcastle NSW training network. He holds fellowships from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA). He has undergone two AOA-accredited fellowships to enhance his expertise.

During his fellowships, Dr Narasimhan gained expertise in various advanced techniques, including limb salvage, knee and hip revision surgeries, minimally invasive fracture fixation, Arthroscopic Latarjet procedures, primary and revision shoulder replacements, and tendon transfers for irreparable cuff defects.

Dr Narasimhan is also an Australian Army Officer working as an Orthopaedic Trauma and Limb Reconstruction Surgeon with the Australian Defense Force. He is dedicated to his work and has authored a book as well as published several articles in reputable journals.

Operating in both the Public and Private systems within the Hunter New England Health Network, Dr Narasimhan sees patients in the Newcastle and Manning Valley regions. He is committed to providing high-quality medical care and support to those in need.
