Mr Rhys Clark is an orthopaedic surgeon practicing in Halls Head, 6210, Bunbury. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) from the University of Notre Dame Australia. Additionally, he has a Masters of Health Science from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor of Information Technology from Charles Sturt University. Mr Clark is also a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons.
As an orthopaedic surgeon, Mr Clark specialises in hip, knee, ankle, trauma-fracture, and shoulder surgeries. His particular interests include total hip replacements, robotic total and partial knee replacements, ACL reconstructions, knee arthroscopy, orthopaedic oncology surgery, patella stabilisation and re-alignment surgery, revision arthroplasty, trauma services, and sports knee treatments. He offers telehealth services and is a No-Gap provider for all private health funds, welcoming WC and ICWA claims.
Mr Clark's contributions to the medical field include presentations on topics such as screw combinations in osteoporotic bone fractures, surgical treatment for neck of femur fractures, and alignment of total knee arthroplasty using patient-matched instrumentation. He has presented his research at various scientific meetings and congresses, including the Australian Orthopaedic Association Annual Scientific Meeting and the Scientific Congress of the Australian Society of Anaesthetists.
In addition to his orthopaedic work, Mr Clark has also conducted research on CT grading scales for splenic injury and inter-observer reliability in grading splenic injury using CT imaging. He completed his Masters Thesis on reducing intravenous contrast agent for chest computerized tomography at the University of Sydney in 2005.
