Dr Fernando obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Colombo University in 2002. Following this, he pursued further education and training, acquiring an AMC Certificate from the Australian Medical Council in 2008. Dr Fernando's commitment to continuous professional development led him to achieve Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Adult Medicine Division in 2012.
