Dr Rachel Green

Dr. Rachel Green is a dedicated gynaecologist currently practicing in Ipswich, Queensland, Australia. With a speciality in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Green has garnered extensive experience and expertise in various aspects of women's health.

Dr. Green completed her medical education at the prestigious University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Her passion for Australia led her to finish her degree in 1997 and make the move to Southeast Queensland. Prior to beginning her specialist training in 2001, she provided 18 months of invaluable service to the NHS.

During her training, Dr. Green gained a diverse range of experiences, including a significant period of time in rural Mackay, as well as in major teaching hospitals. In 2008, she successfully obtained her fellowship.

Balancing her professional and personal life, Dr. Green took a brief hiatus in 2007 to start her family, welcoming her first daughter. However, she returned to complete her training and subsequently worked as a Staff Specialist at Ipswich General Hospital until the birth of her second child. In 2009, Dr. Green transitioned to being a Private Practitioner and a Visiting Medical Officer, dividing her time between these roles.

Dr. Green has also made significant contributions to the medical community, serving as an ordinary board member of the Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society. She made history as the first female executive board member and currently holds the position of Honorary Secretary.

At present, Dr. Green continues to admit and care for patients at St Andrew's Ipswich Private Hospital. Among her areas of special interest are gynaecological conditions requiring minimally invasive procedures and high-risk obstetrics. Dr. Green's patients benefit from her expertise, compassionate care, and dedication to ensuring their well-being.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Green leads a vibrant and active life. A devoted mother, she effortlessly balances her professional commitments, personal interests, and love for running.
